The Global Talent Visa came into the force from 20 February 2020 after replacing Tier 1 (Exceptional Talent) Visa.  The best route for promising individuals, Global Talent Visa is those who want to come to the UK for work or run a business if they are a leader or potential leader in one of the qualifying fields of academics or research, arts and culture, and digital technology. The applicants must be endorsed by a relevant endorsement body. The Endorsement bodies are The Royal Society-For Science and Medicine, The Royal Academy of Engineering-For Engineering, Tech Nation-For Digital Technology, Arts Council England-For Arts and Culture, The British Academy-For Humanities, and the UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) – For Research Applicants.

The Global Talent Visa offers the ability to change roles and employ companies without notifying from the Home Office, earn additional income from other sources or consultancy which may or may not be relevant to the field in which the applicant was endorsed, or set up a spin-out company.
