Whenever it comes to the place with amazing sights, beautiful weather and ancient buildings only one name pops up in mind, India. Yes with the 3000 years old history and historical building over centuries, India not only is rich with four kinds of weather but also have amazing destinations to attain your attention and mesmerise you with its beauty.
The most incredible thing about India is, it’s all 29 states and 7 union territories have their own culture, customs and traditions completely different from each other. From the fragrance of royal sand of Rajasthan to the astonishing views of Chennai, from traditions and customs of Punjab to the snow-covered hills of Shimla or should I say from mouth-watering smell of paratha’s of Chandnichowk of Delhi to the Paobhaji of Mumbai, India is nothing less than a surprise to its visitors.
While visiting India my tips can make your trip even better. There are two main options, the first one is, visit India in the limited budget for a few days while the second one is to spend double time in India within the planned budget. You don’t need to be worried at all as in both ways you are not going to compromise on your security and health as well.
As you now realise that trip to India isn’t a few days job, probably it could take a couple of weeks or if you want to spend more time there it is suggested to pack your stuff more. Now here is the thing which might start confusing you that as against the topic you are going to pack more and pay more for your heavy bags. Well, don’t worry I’m here to help you.
You are not going to pay extra for your heavy bags as there are many cargo companies who nowadays offer their quality services of sending excess baggage to India at low rates. Well, this is our first step to save money. Send your parcels to India by air cargo at low rates, your bags will be there at your hotel before your arrival safely.
Fight for the flight
Seasons means a lot. Yeah, by word season I mean season of festivals. India is a secular country where different religions are practised by almost 18% of the whole world’s population. India is huge believe me. So, to save money we should take care of the time we are planning our trip. During festivals, flights cost more than usual. Secondly, take a flight of late night or early in the morning. These flights are also cost low comparatively.
Book the hotel before arrival
Compare the prices and book a residence with essential facilities at a low price before your arrival. This is one of the main things with which you can save a reasonable amount. You are going to stay a couple of weeks or maybe a month. In this way, you are going to save your money on a daily basis. Before leaving your place I suggest you book a room in a nice hotel or hostel.
Eat and drink safely
Though India is famous for its cuisines all over the world it is recommended that not to eat inexpensive hotels. The taste of real India is not in five-star hotels. Street food is what you should actually try. I am not saying always eat street food because Indian spices are really unbearable for foreigners. But since you are in India, you should taste real India rather to continental or Italian dishes.
Unfortunately, India is one of those countries who do not have safe drinking water. Yes, you read it right. A country with billions of population does not have safe and healthy drinking water. Avoid drinking tap water while trying to save money. Because you could be caught by diarrhoea. While saving money by drinking tap water probably you are going to spend thrice on your health. Either to purchase added mineral water go with the filtered water. Fetch your bottle with filter water and stay safe.
Transportation in India
In a big country like India, transport is also a big thing for whom you would going to pay a lot. Rather hire a cab use local transport. Go with local busses and trains and beware of pickpockets meanwhile. In Mumbai, local trains are like their own world in the city. India has one of the largest railway networks in Asia, so now you can imagine how easy it is to travel in India on trains.
But actually, it is not as easy as it looks like. India is a huge country with a massive population which is not so much rich. Travelling by train is more than economical. But you should know how to deal with a huge crowd. I am not talking about the whole country but only Mumbai railway stations deal with almost 2500 trains “Daily”.
There are 7.5 million people who travel through these trains on a daily basis. Figurer correct you don’t need to be worried about it neither need to cancel the program of utilizing this service because you are not going to disturb those 7.5 million passengers.

Where and how to do shopping in India
India is a very fascinating country because of many things. Either it is art or jewellery or dresses there are numerous things you want to purchase. In order to save money, it is suggested to purchase from local marker rather from big marts and malls.
You will get the same thing and stuff at extremely reasonable rates if you go to the local markets for shopping. But still, you need to bargain. If you are white price would be high for you there too. It is suggested to go with a local person who knows the actual price of such things.
Save on laundry
As per my words, you pack more and now you are thinking about laundry. Do not use hotel or hostel laundry. They charge you almost three times higher for laundry. Wash your clothes on your own.
It is not suggested to bring detergent with you, but there isn’t any need to purchase high quality or imported detergents. There are so many washing powders and detergents used in India which are really cheap in price and best in quality.
Enjoy deals and packages and don’t pay tip too much
No matter you are in the hotel or in any market always go with the deals. In this way, you can save a good amount. Deals on food items and credit cards, packages for calls, internet and travelling tours and coupons for shopping can save your money a lot. You can enjoy quality at low rates. What else do you want?
Medication and first aid box
Always keep your medicines along with you. Do not rely on chemists or delay purchasing. Buy your medicines from your place and also few medicines in case of an emergency. If you are visiting India first time, probably there is a big chance that you should suffer from diarrhoea. So bring a few extra medicines and first aid box with yourself to avoid being conned by local chemists.
Go with the free entertainment
You will find an opera show in India. Cinemas are though the cheap source of entertainment here but still, there are so many things for which you don’t even need to a single penny at all. You can visit beaches, enjoy the sight-seeing of ancient buildings, if you are in any hill station it is recommended to go for sunsets and rises. There are many free yoga clubs in local parks so you can enjoy yoga with your new mates. Morning at river Ganga
